I can't believe I haven't been here in some time, it's such a gem! I still remember when Hermanito opened around the pandemic. I was so worried it would close down back then, but thankfully it stayed open and is still just as amazing as all my visits before. The service is great, the vibes are immaculate, and the food is delicious! Below is a breakdown of everything I tried: 5/5 - Spicy-Garlic Blue Lake Beans: we ate them so quick I forgot to take a picture, these were sensational! We almost thought we made a mistake when we ordered the green beans, but they ended up being one of our favorite dishes! 5/5 - Papa Flautas: literally my favorite thing on the menu, the most delicious flautas in LA IMO. 4.5/5 - Birria Tacos: solid tacos, would definitely order them again. 4/5 - Oysters: pretty good, great price on the HH menu at $3 a piece. 4/5 - Chips & Guacamole: a well made classic, pretty good. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Value: 5/5 Overall: 4.5/5

A couple of years ago, we hit up this spot for our holiday office party, and it was a blast! Eight of us rolled in for the 5 PM happy hour, ready to enjoy some drinks and food. Tucked away on Sawtelle Blvd--what I like to call the heart of "Little Shibuya" (with maybe a dash of Ginza)--this place offers a delightful fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisine. The mixed drinks were fantastic, and the cozy, charming back patio added a perfect touch to our evening. With great music and service that was both friendly and speedy, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We all had a great time and left with smiles on our faces.

Tried Hermanito for brunch on a Sunday. Plenty of seating, quick and great service. The food was really good, tried the Churro waffle and the eggs Benedict, both were really good! I would definitely come back for brunch. This place is pricey, with some things being overpriced imo, but would recommend trying at least once.

This place was great!! As an initial thought, and I didn't even know this was something I cared about, but I have never been to a restaurant that was the perfect amount of busy. It was busy enough that I felt cool being there but not so busy that I was uncomfortable. Anyway, I got a table for 4. The seating was perfect. The service was perfect. My drink was perfect (got the lychee one/friends enjoyed bees knees and Japanese old fashions). And the calamari was wayyy better than expected--really good! I just did late night apps and drinks. Highly recommend
